We don’t know what we’re doing.
The Mom Hat comedy team has been pumping out videos, podcasts, and everything in between since 2017. Helmed by Sacramento comedian Joe-Joe Louis, Mom Hat Studios has grown each yeah with new ideas, new show concepts, and new faces in our quest to be kind of-sort of entertaining.
It started with Joe-Joe Has Fun, a comedy Let’s Play in the vein of popular YouTube shows like Game Grumps. Originally a duo show with Joe-Joe Louis and Kim Martel, the team expanded after its first slew of episodes by adding Jeff Brown (social media and co-host) and Danielle McManus (co-host).
Later the Mom Hat team began expanding into audio-only formats with two podcasts!
The Rolls We Made, an actual play Dungeons and Dragons podcast, was the team’s first foray into podcasting! With Joe-Joe as DM, we began to follow the adventures of three fantasy high schoolers entrenched in a mysterious plot. Featuring Jeff Brown, Danielle McManus, and Sacramento comedian Emma Haney, the squad continues to unravel the mysteries of Springwillow Academy!
The Mom Hat team’s penchant for podcasting persisted as we began producing GEESESBUMPS: A “Did You Mean Goosebumps?” podcast! Featuring the musings of Joe-Joe, Danielle and Jeff, the trio reads the works of R.L. Stine and discusses what works, what doesn’t, and what is simply soaked in nostalgia.
Beyond that we have more videos (Hentime of our Lives), more podcasts (What the Spell!?) and more forays into different types of content
